  • 500 g ground meat (beef or lamb)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can of red kidney beans (about 400 g), rinsed and drained
  • 1 can of crushed tomatoes (about 400 g)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (optional, to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish (optional)
Preparation of the recipe

(Français) Sauté the Vegetables: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and bell pepper. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.

Cook the Meat: Add the ground meat to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon.

Add the Spices: Stir in the cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for 1 to 2 minutes to allow the spices to release their aromas.

Incorporate the Beans and Tomatoes: Add the kidney beans and crushed tomatoes. Mix well, then bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serving: Serve hot, garnished with fresh coriander if desired, alongside bread, rice, or tortillas.
